1. I've heard about it and red the transcripts
But to see it in video form is something else. Donahue smacks the asshole down so bad. O'Rilley should go back to being a weatherman and leave the real issues to people who have an idea of what they are talking about.

I've always liked Phil, but this added a few more points to my respect for the man.

2. Slimey
Refers to Donahue as a celebrity in the opening to dismiss his knowledge and support; says he supports her 'dissent' with the word 'dissent' in a tone that would indicate it's not really dissent.

What a turd "My nephew just enlisted in the army..."

Hahaha-He calls Sheehan and Donahue 'clueless'

3. There's a weatherman character in "The Newsroom" (CBC series)...
...based on O'Reilly. Even looks like him:

Karen (news producer): Your nutty definitions. George (News Director) doesn't think they've been working that well, and he suggested that if you insist on doing a bit, that I write them for you.

Bruce (asshole weatherman): Oh (laughs). Oh, my material is shit, is that it?

Karen: Yeah, basically that's it.

Bruce: Oh, yeah, well, Jeremy never had a problem with them, and he was a good producer.

Karen: Maybe this kind of abuse is why Jeremy quit.

Bruce: Alright, what have you got?

Karen: "Dogmatic. What is a dog without a clutch?"

Bruce: No, that sucks. No, hold on, hold on. Okay, okay, uh, what's a bull terrier?

Karen: What?

Bruce: A dog without a clutch.

Karen: That makes no sense.

Bruce: A bull terrier doesn't have a clutch.

Karen: Yeah, but that's not a joke. That's not nutty.

Bruce: Yeah, well neither is "dogmatic".

Karen: Look, this routine was your stupid idea, alright? You don't know what dogmatic means, do you? That's why you don't want it.

Bruce: Oh, yeah, yeah. You think you know everything 'cause you graduated from the University of goddamned Toronto and I sold outboard motors.

Karen: I don't happen to know the full range of Evinrudes on the market, if that's your point.

Bruce: Look, sweetheart, I've sold more outboard motors than you've read books! Alright. Gimme that. I'll do your shitty dogmatic joke.

*************************************************************

Bruce (asshole weatherman): You know what this is?

Mark (producer): No.

Bruce: My bear hunting license. This little piece of paper gives me the right to shoot one fully-grown black bear. It's such a rush. I can't wait!

Mark: Sounds like fun.

Bruce: Yeah.

Mark: So you shoot the male, and then rape the female?

Bruce: Okay, okay. I get it. Oh, hunting is evil, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, the big bad hunter with his high-powered rifle against the poor defenceless creature of nature.

Mark: So, you gonna eat the bear?

Bruce: Look, let me tell you something. If we don't shoot 'em, they overproduce. And you could pretty much kiss the balance of nature goodbye.

Mark: Oh, so you're doing God's work.

Bruce: You got that right, asshole.

19. I loved 'The Newsroom'
Dan Keleghan is great-both as Jim Walcott in 'The Newsroom' and Alan Roy in 'Made in Canada.'

Too bad the US is so myopic about entertainment. These shows both rocked. Of course the fact that Americans are so myopic about the news, the Canadian reference jokes would be totally lost on most of the morans in this country...

4. I remember watching him faithfully
on T.V. everyday. What a shame his show was yanked
as Phil commented it was just to Liberal for the media.
Did'nt you just love the part when O'Rilley said he really
didnt embrace this war?

Did you see all the veins sticking out of his head? I was thinking of the movie "Scanners", just waiting for his head to pop like a tick

9. I'd like to see if he even has a nephew that enlisted
Chances are he was just making that up so he had something to say. I doubt he has a nephew that joined up to the service.

13. My guess is no
but if cornered O'Leily will pull some acquaintance out of his ass whose son joined recently, and say "hes not my blood relative, but our families were close and he calls me Uncle".

14. ...or, if there is a nephew, he'll get preferential treatment...
be put someplace safe, or in a "safer" division in Iraq or Afghanistan. Or, perhaps O'Reilly Newphew will get to stay stateside...

20. He also claimed that nephew as "My blood"
I wonder if it's actually a child of one of his siblings-or via marriage.
"Do not denigrate him or you're outta here!!!"

17. Phil looked like he was enjoying himself
Donahue knows every interviewer trick in the book and seemed to delight in turning them back on O'Reilly. Billy knew he had lost by the end of the segment. It was a thing of beauty.

I did catch him in an interview where he said.....his show was
yanked because it was way to Liberal.
I think Donahue would of been a great asset to Air America.
