Poll question: &@#*#$^! My soup wasn't hot enough. How hot do you like your food?
I like my hot food, especially soup, to come to me piping hot. So hot I can barely eat it at first. I also like my coffee piping hot. Sadly, I heated up my soup tonight and didn't have it hot enough, so the enjoyment wasn't all that it could have been.

How hot do you like your hot food?

(Note: I'm talking temperature, not spiciness level)

1. Rabrrrrrr, I practically revel in the fact that we are SO
NOT COMPATIBLE  There is NOTHING I hate worse than food so fucking hot I can't eat it. I hate it when it burns my tongue. I can't stand having the roof of my mouth chaffed for three days. It KILLS my tastebuds.

I HATE PIPING HOT FOOD!

( and remember, I LIKE pillows all over the place :D)

2. Then does this mean,
that you don't like me? That you are so happy we are incompatible?

And I remember the pillows thing!

Just so as long as we are together in hatred of all things http://www.thomaskinkade.com, http://www.precousmoments.com, and http://www.homeinteriors.com, we should still be just fine. Oh, and hatred of all things repuke, too (which of course includes the aforementioned three blasphemous things).

maybe I'll take my luke-warm food and throw it on your pillows... :-)

But on the other hand, if we sit down to a meal, I'll eat first, then when the temp goes down, you take over. Tag team eating!

I am the magnetic south pole to your north; the anode to your cathode; the mass that is attracted to your mass at a ratio of the gravitational constant times our masses in kilograms divided by the square of the distance between us in meters and we are within the event horizon of each other.

And I like comfort - that's why I like my chairs and sofas pillow free: So that I can sit the hell down on them! :spank:

So I voted "other".

5. I like extremes -- make my soup *hot*, and my ice water *cold*.
When my wife prepares a meal, it seems tepid to me, so I nuke it in the microwave for 30-40 seconds.

On the other hand, I'll chew on my ice cubes, too.

Yes - cold things ought to be killer cold!
Ice water, soda, etc., better be DAMNED iced.

Cocktails better be served at just above freezing temperatures.

My partner also tends to more middling - hot foods are more likewarm, cold things are more like below room temperature but well above freezing.

When I'm served bacon, I want the grease still poppin' - I want it to be dangerous to touch!

15. I want to have to wait for my food to cool off
before I torch my mouth with it.

Unfortunately I have to wait to eat these days. I have kids who always want something else (they can't reach yet, etc) after I sit down.
