I intentionally stayed far away from the Scott Petersen case, but this

grabbed my attention -- for some reason.

I suppose it's because this Frey woman was made out to be a hero by the alphabet soup talk shows. For a very long period, whenever I flipped thru the channels, she was always a guest hawking her story about her affair with Petersen.

OK - I'll admit - I'm gloating.

Scott Peterson's girlfriend is back in the spotlight after a DNA test showed
that her first child was not fathered by the man who was paying child support.

Anthony Flores has been paying Frey $175 a month for nearly four years.
The father of the girl is actually the owner of Porky's Rib House.

Flores was preparing to file a court motion seeking visitation rights, which he has
been denied, when the man received word last week that he was not the child's father.

Frey's attorney, Gloria Allred, said Wednesday that her client never intended to deceive Flores.
"Amber, in good faith, always believed that Mr. Flores was her child's father," Allred said.

Say's Bartcop: But Gloria, if Amber was always honest, why did she wait until the fella sought visitation
to tell him he wasn't the father? She was content to cash that check every month until the guy
wanted to see his daughter.

I think Amber Frey has as much credibility as the woman who "found" a finger at Wendy's.
