1. Are you asking if I'd pay $200.00 for this chair? |
|
Yes, I would.....
IF that is what this poll is about.....hard to tell...

3. It's a chair? Who'd a thunk.... |
|
Revision to post #2:
If you decide to purchase this object as a chair, DO NOT admit you paid $200.00 for this item as JUST a chair.
Claim you paid $200.00 for a piece of 'functional artwork'.

Functional artwork is the ticket .....indeed......
But I'm not in the market for any furniture, much less this chair...
But theoretically, I would buy it.....if I were.....

10. It IS functional art! |
|
Form follows function! This is the perfect example of Farfegnugen (I know I've spelled that wrong). This chair has its own feng shui.

Daffy Duck's bill after a violent exchange with Bugs Bunny, don't it?
So, now ask yourself the following:
1) How badly do I REALLY want a manifestation of a deformed Daffy Duck bill?
and most importantly,
2) Does it go with the existing decor in my home, or will the REAL expense of this objet d'art be the bill for redeocorating at least one room in my home so my newly acquired artwork doesn't clash avec tout le monde?

Unless it's an antique with an authentic assprint of a Major Historical Figure TM or just the most comfortable chair your fanny has ever experienced, it's not worth two hunderd dollars.
Unless it's for a kid, then you're probably geting off light.

7. Okay, I admit, I covet the damned thing |
|
It's not like I could even begin to afford $200 for a farking chair, but it calls to me. My SO thinks I'm crazy. Actually, she KNOWS I'm crazy. I want that damn chair. Thank god I can't afford it.

8. It IS attractive in an artsy sort of way |
|
But would I pay $200 of my own money for it? Probably not.

14. Ok, I'll be the first to admit it....I just don't get 'modern' furniture, |
|
Cause I look at this and I see a disembodied eyeball with a runny pupil....
Heck, I'd even go for a monacle used to sop up an ink stain....
....but a chair?
On the other hand, I devoutly avoid Rorschach Tests - I never seem to see what others do - based upon this criterion alone, it's possible some fine upstanding psychiatrist could make the diagnosis of insanity. Then where would I be?....Freeperville....Bbbbrrrrr.... Just the thought......

I don't mind spending that kind of money on a really good chair, especially if I'm going to sit in it for long periods of time (like the one I'm in now--in front of the computer), but for that kind of money I expect some comfort. That yellow monstrosity is what I'd offer to * if he ever showed up at my house. That chair is solely for visitors that you want to leave.
imho

15. Listen, if you really want to get rid of that $200... |
|
I'll gladly take it off your hands, and that way, you won't have a really ugly chair to show for it. :P
