Safeway - is it really *safer*?
Why is there a chain of grocery stores called Safeway? Are they implying that their competitors are dangerous? Like maybe the Kroger down the street has forklifts barreling through the aisles at top speed?

Has anyone ever sustained an injury at Safeway?

:silly:

7. I'm sure there were more pressing legal issues...
But did you have a valid false advertising complaint? :)

Hope you had a speedy recovery!

8. LOL
Yeah,a few people made jokes about how Safeway wasn't so safe that day. I healed very nicely, thanks.

5. I worked there last summer.
I cut myself on a cheese slicer and then two weeks later on a bread knife. The bread knife cut bled profusely for two hours!

6. Yeah, there are injuries all the time
I work at one. Last year we had an old lady trip and fall in one of the aisles. The woman who ran to call 911 tripped over a pallet and broke her elbow. A girl in the deli cut her finger on the slicer last month. I cut myself with my box cutter at least once a week.

Nothing safe about it.
