15. I pay through the nose for a house in SF

because I can't even stand to have other people in the same building. It's not that I don't like people, but inevitably there's always some horse's ass that is loud, obnoxious, dirty, rude - or a combinations of the above. Too much of a headache. Life is too short to be forced to tolerate someone else's bad behavior at close range. We are much happier with quiet and privacy, although the rent is brutal.

2 bdr, 1 bath with skylight, fenced back yard, W/D, gourmet kitchen, open floor space, hardwood floors, garage door opener. Just listing the goodies to try to convince myself it's worth it. We have a dog, two cats, and a bird. We have great neighbors, invited to a block party our first week here! We LOVE it although paying the rent each month is painful.

Shitty roomates are the worst...had some in college...one especially stands out in my memory...she was nice enough but she had the most disgusting personal/hygenic habits ever. Let's just say I couldn't leave my bathroom towel in the bathroom. :scared:
