women-what's your favorite brand/style of razor?
I've been using the Gillette Extreme 3, which is extremely mediocore. does a better job than Lady Bic, but could be smoother. are those ones with the replacable razor heads worth it, like Venus? just curious other ladies' experiences. I want something that can get me out of the shower fast with truly smooth legs. (and I have thick, coarse hair that grows back so fast I get a 9 o'clock shadow thing going on). also, has anyone tried any of those lotions, like Jergens, that claim they reduce the growth of new hair?

2. agreed! shaving is a chore, I'm glad summer's over at least
if my hair wasn't lighter and finer I'd go shaveless more often in the summer.

3. I like the Mach 3, and the Quatro.
I hated the Quatro, but I've kinda gotten used to it now, and don't think it's wussy or girly, like I used to.

4. Mach 3
The blades aren't cheap, but they're not outrageous either. I've had the same razor for 7 years and each blade lasts anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks- depending on how often I go between shaves and what exactly I'm shaving ;)

5. thank you all for your responses!
I'll give both the Quattro and Mach 3 a whirl-I tried a 4 blade razor before, Old Spice brand, lol, it was on clearance, maybe bc it really sucked, they may have had 4 blades but didn't have them sharp enough or something. I think I need a "man" razor with my stubborn, quick growing hair-and I will never wax!

6. Good choices; I refuse to wax, also.
Mainly because it doesn't work for me. At all. I still wind up with a bunch of hair left over on my face and in other areas, when I do that. EW! And ow.

10. The vibration model is incredible
SHUT UP, MATCOM!

You can barely even feel the shave, and it's ultra close. And once you buy the handle you can use any of the Mach3 series blades.

7. The one on sale with twin blades. Shavers are a racket, and cost about
.09c to make and they'll happily charge you many dollars.

They're really all the same, there is little difference between them. The key is that they're only good for about 3 - 5 shaves, then toss em.

You might look into professional waxing for a far better and longer lasting smooth leg. It's gotten very affordable these days.

9. I use Venus but I'm not all that opinionated.
as long as it removes hair, I'm happy.

11. I started using a lotion
and now I'm at work and cannot think of the name! Damn! But it works in 3 minutes. Really. Smells bad. It's not Nair or Neet -- though they make similar types...it's sold in the same section and comes with a little razor like thing (no blade). Really works. You get smooth legs without shaving. (even works on the bikini area).
