By that graph...

1861-70 - Slaves freed - they approve...
1901-10 - Cars invented - Aliens love NASCAR
1911-20 - WWI - Aliens poop on us for fighting
1921-30 - Aliens approve of flapper chicks and booze
1941-50 - WWII A-bomb etc, - Aliens get really pissed
1971-05 - They are getting bored with GenX...
