2. This rounds tough.

For me it's either Lecter, Montana and Jules. How do you pick between those three? And then Mr. Bates. Jeez, I may not be able to vote.

This IS a tough one. But I had to go with Darth Vader,

given the history of the character.

Lucas is a hack writer at heart, but he knew and fond the perfect character in Darth Vader - yeah, he fucked up all the peripheral writing and directing, but yet, Darth's character, except for that awful cliche "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" at the end of Episode III, was fucking awesome. Truly fucking awesome. The other characters might ring a bit hollow, but Darth rings perfectly true - as well Palpatine. Ian McDermid *WAS* the Emperor - as he was in Star Wars V and VI - pure fucking genius.
