Really strange movies that you admit you just loved. |
|
One of my all time favorites is David Lynch's Twin Peaks, Fire Walk With Me. Saw it again the other night, I just love the scene with the midget talking about the green formica counter top scene. Was that a crazy movie or what?

I actually feel embarrassed for Nicole Kidman when she's humping the floor in the elephant scene while Ewan McGregor is trying to recite his "poem". And people singing Nirvana in a dance hall in 1899... :freak: Not to mention that the first dance number "diamond dogs" almost gave me a seizure from the lightning-quick barrage of images.
But I love it anyway. I don't know why, it just kind of grew on me, even with all its quirks. :)
Edit: fixed smiley

3. Eraserhead, another Lynch movie, is way weirder. |
|
I'm not sure I actually like it, though -- it kind of creeped me out.

With Vince Vaughn and Janeane Garafalo. Sort of twisted, but very funny.

one of the first "revenge" type films. Made somewhere around 1978 or so, IIRC. One of the bad guys is put through a meat grinder. Yuck, but he did get what was coming to him.

I really enjoyed that one, as well as seeing William Burroughs in it. Plus, the soundtrack was excellent...
