1. I'll assume duty if you need a break!
I think she's one of the very most beautiful cats on DU!

3. She's so funny about it too. She'll just walk into the room let out
Edited on Mon Sep-26-05 07:51 PM by ET Awful
a little squeak and flop over on her back and just wait for you to come to her. If you don't, she'll get up, walk around until she's more in your line of sight and repeat the procedure :).

She's a riot :)

And she's such a sweet little girl, can you believe that she has never once scratched me? Accidentally or on purpose, she's very gentle and laid back. :)

8. Oh, the cat is cute -- but that RUG is GORGEOUS! I'm wildly jealous!
It would look so beautiful in my front room. (Regrettably, I'm allergic to cats, so I worship them from afar.)

In peace,

Radio Lady

10. I know where you can get a rug just like it :)
http://rugsusa.com/totem9731703.html

In various sizes even :).

I bought mine locally at a clearance (it was a dealer sample) and paid dealer cost (a little over half the price on that site).

14. Thank you SO MUCH! That's the best rug site I've ever seen!
I'll bookmark it and check it out tomorrow. I've got to get myself to the swimming pool for water aerobics class.

AGAIN,,,,, ET (not) Awful... thanks...

9. So what's the story of Althea & Quinn?
How did you come across two such fine beasts?

(I swear Althea looks kittenish to me)

11. Althea is about 1 1/2 years old and still very kittenish both in looks

and behavior :) Quinn is about a year older than her and is an oversized rambunctious boy kitten.

Quinn came to me via a lady I work with whose friend had a young teenager daugther who smuggled Quinn and his sister into her closet and was going to try to raise them (they were about 6 weeks old at the time). Mom heard them squeaking at midnight, discovered the hidden treasure and off they went. One went to the sister of my co-worker (an all black version of Quinn) and Quinn came to me. His name came from the fact that I was listening to the Dylan tune at the time he was brought into my office and he was such a little fluffball he looked like Quinn the Eskimo :). . . for example:

Althea I found at an adoption day at a Petco. I went in and a lady just happened to be there with kittens. I'd thought about getting a playmate for Quinn, but hadn't really pursued it that much yet. Anyway, I sat down and started talking to the lady who was doing the adoptions and one after another I held each of the dozen or so kittens she had. . . each was very skittish and squirmy (though the lady said they were very laid back with everyone else), finally I came to Althea, and the lady said that she was very skittish and afraid of people, but as soon as she was in my arms, she snuggled in and started purring up a storm. She picked me, I didn't pick her. :) She's had me wrapped around her paw ever since.

(both pictures are from the respective kitten's first day at my home)

She's the super laid back love-kitty, and Quinn is the ADD kitty :)

13. Eskimo kitty!
So fitting. I'll have to dig up that Dylan tune.

They're like a little salt and pepper shaker set. Thanks for the history!
