Songs it is impossible to dance to |
|
For one reason or another.
I'll start with YYZ by Rush. Great song, but too many abrupt time signature changes to keep any sort of flow.

I used to cover these in a band back in college. We used to squeeze these into our set between Roxy Music and Duran Duran covers. Worked every time! :)

Another one is "Sentimental Journey" (NOT the classic standard)by Pere Ubu; it's like a nightmare on record..

That's totally dancable. And, unlike pop music, the dance that would come from "O Superman" would actually be interesting, relevant, and worth recording.

U2 had to change the original's non-pop time signature in order to make their version danceable.

13. No, YYZ is totally dancable! It's that top 40 shit, |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-26-05 11:47 PM by Rabrrrrrr
that's designed to be dancable by the drunkest, sluttiest, most ignorant piece of shit willing to spread his or legs for anyone who can buy them an over-sugared pre-made "cocktail", that you can't dance to.
What the fuck good is music that announces every beat with a 400 decibel synthesizer-programmed bass slap?
Fuck that, YYZ is far more dancable than any pop shit you will hear on the radio, or in any club frequented by anorexic chicks with instant-off panties.
