My iPod works but my computer doesnt realize its there. :shrug:

You might try the apple site. Their support section has forums on iPod that might be of help.

run the wizard to see if it can find it.

Here is a patch for XP and FireWire.

patch id Q329256.  I would read up on this patch first to see if it is appropriate. It is from Microsoft so have your AV scan set on vaporize.
