Don't stick a Q-tip way in your ear.
No matter how much you might want to. I just did and the cotton end came of and lodged inside my ear canal. I had to fish it out with tweezers. Stupid! Stupid! That's all.

If I told you once I told you a thousand times goldie! Never put one of those demon sticks in your ears! I don't understand why people do it! Sure it gets some wax out...but it obviously shoves even more back!

58. Indeed Jor a very smart guy!
But you didn't specify, this or this although I don't really know who these guys are, other than the Q-TIPS. And realistically, they wouldn't fit in my ear, not that I'd want them there anyway!
It's raining here and I must decide to cancel rowing or not. Ugh! It's always me!

2. Ok, so it's *not* ok to stick a Q-tip, but it's ok to put TWEEZERS???
My momma always said not to put anything bigger than an elbow in my ear. Didn't stop me from filling my nose with blue beads one time. God, WHAT was I thinking?!!!!

I *did* have to go to the doctor, and I can remember having to blow my nose *real hard*. Geez, it's a miracle that kids live long enough to get any sense.

26. oooops! I meant SMALLER than an elbow!
I remember trying many contortions to see if I could stick my elbow in my ear. I'm sure that was a source of amusement for my parents in between trips to the emergency room. Between me and my three siblings, we became well-known pill swallowers, paint-thinner drinkers, and window walker-throughers. Let's say my folks were not so into the kid-proofing thing.

So, you have to use a qtip.

37. From randomhouse.com:
The usual meaning of the word pantywaist is 'an effeminate or weak man or boy; sissy'. Example: "I think my career has shown I'm not exactly a pantywaist" (John Wayne, in a 1971 Playboy interview).

The original sense, though, referred to an article of clothing for children. This pantywaist was an undergarment consisting of short pants and a shirt that buttoned together at the waist. By metonymy, this children's garment was applied disparagingly to an older male who would never normally wear one.

Or somethin' like that...:hi:

Using the Q-Tip can push it back into an area where it's more difficult for it to come out naturally.
