15. Will do!
I never thought temperature changes would affect it...

I know that wireless phones, cordless phones and remote controls can.

10. A few things to check...
Are the batteries low?
Have you changed what you mouse on?
Is the mouse losing sight of the base-station?
Is it just the scroll wheel acting funky? (are web pages jumping around?)

Re-install the drivers.. (I don't really know. Just tossing out a few things to check) Maybe you could see if a wired mouse is doing the same.

19. You may need new batteries.
My boss went over a month before he complained--changed the batteries, and everthing's good as new!

These things need to beep when the power's low.

22. Do you have a tablet hooked up?
I was having the same problems and couldn't figure out what was happening until I found the pen laying on the work area of my tablet. Put it out of the way and no more junk.

24. I had a Targus wireless mouse that kept fritzing out on me
I went through two warranty replacements before just trashing it altogether. It worked at first, but stopped after a couple of months. It was a miniature laptop mouse. I just figured it was a bad product.

25. Had the same problem here
Edited on Wed Sep-28-05 02:39 PM by Ratty
If I was playing games suddenly the screen would start spinning. Sometimes on web pages and stuff it would suddenly jump to the opposite edge of the page.

I did three things:
- Made sure the batteries were fresh
- Made sure the radio receiver thingie was closer to the mouse
- Made sure I used a pad that is specifically designed for optical mice

The latter one, the pad, I think was the ultimate cause of the problem. If your mouse came with a pad, use it. If not, go out and buy a mouse pad specifically designed for optical mice.

BTW, I hate my mouse. It's not sensitive enough and the batteries keep wearing out. I love that I don't get tangled in a cord anymore but all in all I think I'm going back to the corded, mouse-ball type, even though it kept getting gummed up with encrusted finger turds.

26. Check the batteries...and do you have a cellphone?
My cellphone, if it's too close to my mouse, will trigger the left button click occasionally. It also makes this odd buzzing sound once in a while. (probably when the NSA is trying to track me)
