What's some of your favorite web sites?
I have a few that I visit often and have really grown to love! First, and foremost...Democratic Underground! I love EVERYBODY on here!

I also like Rip-offreport.com: It's a site that consumers can file complaints against businesses and people who have ripped them off. Some of the complaints are hilarious and I've responded to many of them with suggested solutions.

Mycrazyvideos.com is another...as the name implys, it is a site with lots of short videos people make that are "crazy". I guess it's sort of like "America's Funniest Videos" without the commentary during the video.

Finally..."wincustomize.com" is also a favorite. It has desktop wallpapers, icons and just about everything else you can imagine to customize Windows. I LOVE the way my computer looks now with the things I've gotten from them! Best of all...it's all FREE!

So what's some of YOUR favorites? Share with us so we can ALL enjoy them!

1. My favorite non-political blog is
http://www.bat-girl.com

It is a Twins baseball blog. The woman who writes it is a published author and she has an amazing sense of humor.

2. I got a few
Engrish.com never fails to crack me up. Having a bad day? Check out the new Engrish!

Savage Love at thestranger.com - weird, wacky, and strange.

Mark Morford at sfgate.com - he writes like an angel on speed.

Susie Bright's Blog - wise and wonderful. And no it's not all sex. She does politics, religion, parenting, etc with the same passion and honesty.

Apart from DU these are the places I check out every day.

And snopes.com - always interesting, always a little off beat.

Khash.

3. Of course, DemocraticUnderground first.
419eater.com -- Crazy things that are done to the Nigerian scammers
TheScamBaiter.com -- Another one like 419eater
BushFlash.com -- Eric is an animator genius
IFilms.com -- Great short videos
DrudgeReport.com -- Don't flame me, but he always has some juicy gossip. Plus, there are links to all the other news sites.
NetFlix.com -- I go there once a week to check out which new releases are out and add them to my queue.

I read my news at spiegel.de, in German of course.

To get my favorite comics I go to unitedmedia.com and ucomics.com

5. other than DU, of course
I'm fond of Abandonia.com, a home of old-old-school dos games and nuklearpower.com an online comic based (loosely) on Final Fantasy games, but with a deeply demented comic twist.

Do I win anything?

6. I enjoy these:
www.truthout.com because there are some terrific writers over there to include a Mr. Pitt who is perhaps my favorite.
www.mediamatters.com because they send me weekly updates correcting the BS which our media tends to echo.
www.presidentevilonline.com because dxstone is talented yet twisted in a way that I can identify with.
www.giantradio.com because I enjoy local bands from the Pacific Northwest and music there is free. (The bands there encourage this).
www.democraticunderground.com because I am addicted
There are others but these keep me busy enough!

7. For politics and news: DU, BBC, MediaMatters
for everything else: the brainy ring - www.brainyhistory.com will get you there.
