It's about time....
It's about Space...
It's about changes in the human race..

Here is the tale
Of this brave crew...
Back through the barriers of time they flew...

Pass an armored knight
Pass the Roman senator
to this ancient site....

It was a short lived sitcom about tow astronauts that were sent back in time until they hit the Caveman Time....

Joe E Ross from Car 54 played the caveman

Imogene Coca played his wife....

Funny how a theme song from my youth justs pops in....

1. I remember different words
we used to chant/sing "It's about time, it's about place, it's about time to goto space" in reference to the Apollo program. I never heard of the show that I know of, but we used to sing "ooh eeh ooh ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang" and I was also unaware that that was the Chipmunks theme song, but apparently my older sister knew that.

2. I looked up the words on the net...
And they were different...

But, they were also the words from a retooled series, not the original Sherward Swartz one that ran from 66 -67

3. true and we may have modified them anyway
another chorus I remember, although it was very 'naughty', was "Jesus Christ, super-star, who in the 7734 do you think you are?"

7734 is another of my childhood remembrances, if you punch those numbers into a standard calculator and turn it upside down, you should be able to read it. It also works for 0.7734 or 7334 or 77345. or 7105.

7. We always sang "it's about time, it's about space,...
...it's about time I slapped your face." This, of course, was accompanied with a slap to the nearest face.

Ah, memories.
