Feeling like one has to barf is typically worse than actually barfing. At least once you've barfed you feel a bit better.

8. The actual act can get really bad.

When I was about 13 I was sick and vomited right after eating a large amount of cheese. I was puking so much it started coming out my nose. Large chunks of cheese included. Oh damn, it hurt.
