2. Don't you love it when it starts getting cool (not COLD!)
I love this time of year. It's my first autumn in Texas, and I know I'll miss the changing leaf colors and crisp temperatures, but I'll take what I can get!

7. For the both of you:

It's a crisp 61 degrees here today in the Northeast (Scottsville, NY). Another two weeks, and things will be looking a bit more like autumn.

Enjoy your first autumn in Texas!

9. Yeah, I'm from N.C. & we always made the trip to the mtns. every fall.
At least there are a lot more trees here than in Kansas!

11. I grew up in El Dorado and lived in Wichita until 2000
There were SOME trees (and the leaves changed colors beautifully), but you're right about there not being as many. We lived in Pittsburgh for 5 years before moving to Texas, and the fall was glorious there. SIGH.

Never been, but heard it's very pretty. I need to explore this state more!

15. We do, too
My husband has cousins in Houston and has been there, and he's also been to San Antonio. I've only been in the DFW area and to Lubbock and Odessa, where some friends used to live. We'd like to go to Austin sometime, and I'd like to see San Antonio.

18. Same here
I am so happy to breathe some fresh, crisp air for the first time in months! I get so sick and tired of the air conditioning.

Windows are all open here in North Richland Hills (the cats like it too :) )

19. WILD weather here yesterday!
I think yesterday was the most miserable it's been temperature-wise until about 7:15 p.m. Then we had the most awesome thunderstorm!

20. That thunderstorm was FANTASTIC!
I now live up north of Frisco in the country, and the thunder was unbelievable... it just rolled and rolled and rolled... seemingly continuously! The wind was unbelievable.

21. Yes, thank God!!!
103 in Rockwall yesterday afternoon. About 7 last night, I heard a big "whoosh" in my fireplace, and went outside to feel north winds and an approaching thunderstorm. I literally screamed, "Yes!"
