Anyone here take chromium picolinate? |
|
I used to take it in my early 20's. Then I stopped because the lady I was ordering it from left the company where we both worked.
The other day I noticed that my mother in law had some so I asked her if I could use it, and the dosage guide on this bottle said one 200 mcg pill per day. (I think it's 200)
So anyway I remember when I used to take this stuff I pretty much got a buzz off it... like I had drunk several cups of coffee. I loved it. But this? She told me to take four (?!)... however I only took two. You'd think that taking double the recommended dose would produce some effect, but no.
Anyone else taking it? Or remember taking it years ago? I'm hesitant to take as much as she is, but I'm considering it since obviously I'm not taking nearly as much as I used to.

1. yes 200 mcg is the correct dose |
|
there is certainly no buzz & i've abt decided there is no effect at all from this mineral but i have a fast metabolism & am at my proper weight to begin w. so maybe there wasn't much for the chromium to do, sometimes ppl who are actually overweight instead of just neurotic abt their weight can see a positive effect
i would never exceed the recommended dose of a mineral, seems a good way to poison yrself

I loved that it gave me more energy ... I was taking it to increase lean muscle mass.
I'll continue to take it to help with my workouts, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the energy boost. :)
