Karma has bit me in the ass.
Well, the hand actually.

I started a thread about burgers and mad cow disease this week, now today, while cutting CJD-suspected brain, I sliced myself wide and deep with the blade.

That sucks....

x( :scared:

5. One of our neuropathologists tells me
that I have nothing to worry about, that I would have to eat it.

I'm not sure if was the new variant or not, I guess I will know next year one way or the other....

How long until you know if the brain was that of an infected cow? Was it a cow or deer or elk?

9. It was human,
stains will be run tomorrow to find plaques and tangles.

I probably am worried for nothing, but it was one of those "oh SHIT" moments.

11. Oh shit was what I was thinking
I can't tell you how many times in the 80's I spilled blood or poked myself only to find that none of the specimens were contaminated with anything transmittable. I am sure you'll be fine it's a very scary feeling though. :grouphug:
