What cologne / perfume drives you wild (or do you wear). |
|
I wear two types of cologne, one a sweet scent and one a spicy scent.
The sweet one is called Pi (spelled like the math symbol) and the spicy one is called Lacoste.
I like the sweet one better, but I bought Lacoste because a girl said she really liked it.
But here's a two part question.
What scent to do YOU wear. And what scent drives you wild with passion?

A perfume/cologne that a lady cop who comes into the hotel wears. I've never had the nerve to ask her what it is. The big gun scares me.

2. All of it drives me wild with, typically, anger |
|
Allergic to it, and hate smelling it, though if used VERY mildly, can be pleasant for a moment.
But, no perfume, please, especially in public, and especially not at restaurants, theaters, subways, trains, airplanes.
The scent that drives me wild is the natural scent of a clean, bathed person.

So many guys don't know how to wear cologne, so they douse themselves in it.

6. If you wear them near me I'll get a nosebleed |
|
Most perfume bombs avoid me. Why do people think other people want to smell them anyway? I usually try to avoid irritating other people by smelling like unnatural overpriced chemicals.
Soap and water smell a lot better and don't leave a vile taste in my mouth.

13. Cologne? I don't wear no stinkin' cologne. I wear PARFUM, Coco, Chanel... |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-24-03 10:19 AM by radwriter0555
then sometimes Fendi, Chanel's Chance, and a couple by Molinard a French perfumery from 1849....
If yer gonna spend money on smellin' good, no one does it better than the French!
Back in the day, Halston's z12 and z14 literally, on the right fella, made my knees WEAK. Giddy, even.
Woof.

I've been wearing it for years. My body chemistry is weird and most cologne does not smell good on me. Opium does.
On men, I like Paco Rabanne and Oscar de la Renta.

Red Door and Dulce & Gabana.
I tried Ellen Tracy a few weeks back, and I like that too, but can't afford any right now.

I NEVER wear scented products of any kind-- personally, I like the way I smell just fine. The Mrs. wears Opium-- does it tastfully and considers it part of her daily apparel, just like underwear, and although it's pleasent, I can't say I'd really miss it if she stopped. I like the way she smells just fine, too.

20. Never buy a perfume based on what someone else think smells good |
|
Because a perfume that smells great on one person may smell like crap on another. It's all in the Chemistry. I think the one perfume that more people complimented me on was Red Door by Elizabeth Arden. I have no clue why, but total strangers standing next to me would say I smelled great. But I haven't worn Red Door in ages. In fact, I rarely wear perfume, but when I do it's either 360 by Perry Ellis or Calyx by Prescriptives (which folks have both said they smell good on me).
I went though the Calvin Klein and Poison phase, buying the perfumes that everyone else had and never once received a comment (I think my mother thought I smelled like an 'Old Lady' with something by Calvin Klein).
It's best to try out perfumes/colognes before you buy them. Better department stores will allow you to try them on or even give you a sample.
BTW, my ex-boyfriend swore by Polo Sport, I thought he smelled like crap with it on!

Coco, & Escape occasionally. In the dead of winter I like to wear Lilac oil. My husband wears Good Life, which I really like. He used to wear Drakkar Noir, which normally I like, but it just didn't smell right on him.
