3. What is your best friend like? What is it that makes them special to you? My best girlfriend has been my friend since we were in 7th grade. She understands me. We live 1500 miles apart now, and we've had our ups and downs, but in the end, she's always been there for me. My husband is my other best friend, and I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful guy to marry. If anyone in this world truly "gets" me, it's him.

7) i'm in a new relationship, only three weeks old, but i'm happy. he's the first guy i've been with that i can have an intelligent conversation or debate with. we share a lot in common and it's perhaps the most open relationship i've ever in that we've already done a good bit of the 'bullshit/baggage swap'

My best friend has changed kind of. There's my old best friend for years that I liked because she thought for herself the way I do, but she moved far away about 2 & 1/2 years ago, so things have changed a lot. 3. What is your best friend like? What is it that makes them special to you? My best friend is moody and opinionated, but he's also my fiance, so I guess that makes him special. LOL!

4. What book would you recommend? I'm actually really digging on poetry right now. I've been reading a lot of John Keats and Percey Shelley.

5. Where do you consider to be home? I was a navy brat so there really isn't one state or city I consider home. I was born in Texas if that helps.

6. Favourite song - the one that really gets to you? This changes all the time, but I've been listening to "Do It Again" by Steely Dan a lot.

1. What are you wearing? Do you want the entire list? Starting at the feet - v.light brown cotton socks, sandy coloured cotton trousers, black cotton boxer shorts, blue and white cotton shirt, yellow and blue silk tie, light fawn cotton jumper - and a big smile in your honour.

2. Opera or wrestling? Opera I fear - preferably baroque, Wagner or Britten. Though watching wrestling can definitely be fun - Thai boxing is even better though.

3. What is your best friend like? What is it that makes them special to you? I don't have one, and they are somewhat different people.

4. What book would you recommend? The Politics by Aristotle.

5. Where do you consider to be home? South Buckinghamshire - though to a certain extent anywhere in the English countryside.

6. Favourite song - the one that really gets to you? I don't know if one would count it as a song technically - it's a liturgical setting of a Psalm - Miserere Mei (Ps. 50 (51)) by Allegri. To be sung at Tenebrae during Holy Week - musically very simple plainchant verses alternating with a couple of different faux-bourdons; but utterly transcendant in its simplicity.

7.Are you married, partnered, in a significant relationship and does it make you happy? Single, being in a relationship could be good, but it would have to be the right person - I am a complete and utter bastard to try and live with, very few people could cope with me.

8. Where do you want to go on vacation? Florence, or indeed any other part of Italy (though I gather that Houston has certain attractions which I would like to see).
