What TV shows did you originally like, but upon reviewing seem lame now? |
|
"Star Trek The Next Generation" sadly gets my vote.
Season 3 used to be so cool, but re-watching it, I've never recalled Captain Picard being so melodramatic or as maudlin. Yuck.
The show still has its good points, but it's overrated...
Then add how Paramount wants $120 per season MSRP and wince. (the 5.1 sound isn't spectacular and it often shunts the sound and many scene changes incur a strange 'hiccup' effect.)

1. The first 10 episodes (or so) of 24 were dynamite! |

It has been unbelievably piss poor ever since.
Pretty unwatchable for much of last season.

14. Last season was a new low. |
|
It seems they drew big numbers with neocon types, so they appeared to zero in on that market.

Don't get me wrong still love S.Epatha and Sam but IMHO I can't stand the rest of the cast, all though I haven't seen Jack's new assistant.
They had a great team before so many of them went on to bigger and better things, and Jerry Orbach passed away. I just wish they had done a better job replacing those who left. I can't watch it anymore.

That show was awesome on the premiere. After the first commercial break, it just fell flat.

When I was in Middle School, Hogan was on every night at 7:00. Used to think it was hilarious. I watched it on Hallmark a few months ago (first time I had seen it in 25 years) WTF?

Fantasy Island and Love Boat - Used to watch them back to back every Friday night with a giant bowl of popcorn (I was pretty young).
Dukes of Hazzard - Sucked in reality, but like everyone else I was a sucker for that stupid Dixie horn
Chips - Erik Estrada just ain't what he was cracked up to be. Then he quit and John got another partner. That was really lame.
ER - Liked it for a couple of seasons, but they really blew it. Just how many times can there be a bomb threat or a patient with a vendetta at one hospital? Waaaaay to melodramatic for this kid. Absolute fucking crap!

12. I bought the first season of |
|
"Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends" on DVD.
I think in my memory it was much funnier. It is amusing at times but it is so repetitive that it can only be taken in small doses. After more than 5 months I still haven't finished watching it.
