Cabin for Nissan's concept car rotates 360 degrees on top of platform, eliminates need to reverse.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Tired of all those three-point turns? Nissan Motor Co. could have a solution.

Japan's second-biggest auto manufacturer has developed a concept car featuring an egg-shaped cabin atop a wheeled platform that can swivel 360 degrees, doing away with the need to reverse when emerging from narrow spaces.

......since mass rail transit systems makes a lot of sense, it want be widely available in the U.S. We typically don't do the things that make sense. I mean, afterall, do you think this is Europe or something? Besides, that would take a massive investment in infrastructure, and, we don't do that either....

4. One more reason why I love Robeson.
I haven't owned a car in five years because public transportation here is so good and reliable. and :loveya: , my friend.

8. Thanks! And tell me about it.....
...first time we went to Amsterdam, there were trams, buses, and designated bike lanes everywhere. The city even provided the bikes to its citizens so they could use them! It suddenly dawned on me, a car would be a hindrance, not a convenience. Why would one even need one, when every mode of transportation is provided? It was amazing how one could actually SEE tax dollars at work....

Then again, the U.S. doesn't want to do that, because that would take dollars away from M1 Abrams tanks, Stealth Bombers, cruise missiles, and bunker busting bombs. Funny, I've never driven an M1 Abrams tank in my life. So I've never got to see how those tax dollars directly benefit me....
