5. I heard it again last night

It sounds like there is talking downstairs...I can hear some voices - it's indistinct what's being said, quite muffled, but it sounds like a small party, or some people mingling.

It doesn't scare me...in fact, it hadn't happened in a while, and had forgotten about it until last night. It's most often very late at night (or technically, very early in the morning, after 1am) but I have heard it in the day, as well.

This morning's episode was over an hour (2-3 am). The chatter may fade for a minute or two, and then resume.

It's definitely not coming from outside.

I don't know what it is. I'm not a diehard skeptic, I have an open mind, but don't always jump to the conclusion that it's ghostly activity. However, I know what the 'normal' sounds of the house are, and this isn't one of them.

7. Not haunted...yet, for 30 years it was a.....

..very active rental...I bet if the walls, here, could talk... it would make for some interesting stories.

We peeled 4 layers of wall paper off the kitchen walls and when we got down to sheet rock...one wall had a gigantic peace symbol painted on it....:-)

I don't think that really counts as my house being haunted, though, but may have been someone passing through.
