Simple and elegant

I would start off with:
Hearts of palm salad.
Then move on to:
Linguine with mushrooms and whole roasted garlic.
And for dessert:
Bread pudding with a bourbon or brandy base or an orange or peach sorbet.
Nothing had to die and its an excellent meal - in fact, I'm eating it tonight!
