Poll question: Best SUPERMAN movie?
I'm watching Superman II on A&E.

It's weird that Christopher Reeve is gone, watching him. It's really sad.

So, in tribute to Christopher and his courage, which was your favorite Superman movie?

1. One of course, but a qualifier
I would really love to see the second movie that Donner intended.

Instead we got a compromised patchwork film because the Salkinds didn't like having to pay for two movies. That is why Brando left, Hackman refused to do extra scenes and the whole thing is less than it should be.

9. Donner's Superman II is the dream of every DVD enthusiast
Alas, Donner is still (rightfully) embittered about the whole thing. We'll never see his cut.

4. IV is probably most loyal to the Supeman canon.
But I voted for II because it's the most fun.

7. Wow, I didn't get that at all.
The only saving grace about IV was that it was a condition of Christopher Reeve's participation: an anti-nuclear message. Other than that, better forgotten.

8. I choose Superman...
Because as a creation story goes for a superhero, the movie is good, it doesn't follow the comic book line totally, but the new twists and what not, were good, and very surprising. I also like II because of the three villians, but again a tad cheesy, but still good, the "I've been working out" line was awesome, most people tell me that superman is such a goody toe shoed boy scout, that the line towards the end of II was a good surprise, superman actually looking or a little revenge/payback what have you....but i choose superman the movie, because the creation story was just about right on....I do admit though, Bryan Singer, who did Xmen, and the current superman returns movie, did a fantastic job of a creation story line for the Xmen, i thought for sure the Xmen would blow, because of the varied hero's/villians, but he pulled it off.

10. The Superman mythology has been well served on TV as well.
Perhaps better than the film, although the first two were great fun.

11. Well, none of them are particularly good.
But I'd say 2 because there was actually some superhuman fighting taking place.
