Just been listening to WWII stories from my 85 yr old Uncle.... every one

starts with... "I was in this whorehouse in blah blah blah.... He is hysterical. He saw action in N. Africa -- infantry and would kick your ass if you said shit about Patton, whom he said really did fearlessly lead the way into battle. He spoke about all the guys who dicked off during basic training and when they got routed by Germans, did not have the stamina to complete the 57 mile retreat... and were mostly slaughtered. Once during a train ride, his batallion took a piss stop and he smelled chocolate in a sealed box car and shot it open. He and his pals liberated thousands of choclate bars which they chowed down and handed out to villagers. With chocolate on their faces, they denied committing the act. He was blown out of foxholes twice and was sent home, a bit of a basket case. Just wanted to write this down before I forgot it.

My cousing in law was at the battle of the buldge......

He wasn;t suppose to be there, he was in communications and was sent to France and then, all of a suddened, ended up in the worst fighting this side of DDay....
