Meet the new Lounge mascot!!!!!
Edited on Fri Nov-14-03 07:05 PM by ZombyWoof

Meet Yakima! Named for a town in eastern Washington state that has NOTHING to do with yaks! Just like the Lounge!

And is Yakima a boy or a girl? Well, yes!

EDIT: pronounced "Yak'-uh-ma". :-)

6. weird!!!
I bought some of that stuff for the first time today! Does it work? I have wool slacks and a few other items that can only be dry cleaned.

9. Actually, it works ok.
But, you'll probably have to run a warm iron over them to get the wrinkles fully out. I think Dryel leaves a nicer scent on clothes than dry cleaning too. The Dryel cleaner stuff doesn't work that well though. So, if the clothes have stains on them, you'll have to take those in.

11. no stains
Yet. :o Cool to know - I need a new iron, trashed the old one in WA. I HATE ironing, although I like doing laundry in general.

13. Ironing sucks!
But really, I just use the iron to get the wrinkles out of the back of the shirt where it bunches when you are seated. The sleeves and collar turn out OK.

Make sure to hang the stuff as soon as it comes out of the dryer.

18. It mostly just makes things smell a little less...funky
I don't think it actually cleans anything, just masks those embarrassing odors.

The Yakima Valley is the "Fruitbowl of the Nation" Cherries, apples, pears, wine grapes, on and on, etcetra etcetra, wow.

Colder than a well-diggers derrier right now, but it is home.

12. don't forget...
Yakima Valley hops are used to make around 80% of the world's beer!

Say... Yakima IS a good name for a Lounge mascot. :D

8. let me speak for Yakima when I say thank you for this great honor!
And thank you for the correct pronounciation,
It is NOT yak e ma, it is yak uh ma!

Unlike the local indian nation the Yakama Tribe whose name we twisted into Yakima.

Give the winner a kewpie doll.

17. We actually have replicas of the trolly ...
But they might be sold. It is a nice trolly ride into Selah, a neighboring community.

19. There's a great place to eat in Yakima that I recommend. Miner Burgers.
They have burgers the size of steering wheels. I defy
you to eat just one. ;)
