Good Morning, Everybody!
:donut: :hi:
I hope all you Nighthawks had a good night! Here we are on Tuesday, the 4th of October, and we got most of our Christmas product yesterday! Can you believe THAT? Almost a MONTH before Halloween, and here's the Christmas product! I was hoping they'd wait to send it until at LEAST after the 31st...but noooooo! I realize that a lot of retailers put out their Christmas product this early, but JEEZE! x(

8. I am not really bothered by the stuff
they can sell it whenever they want. I am not into sweets that much, so I don't get tempted. But it is way too early to start selling Christmas cookies. Yeah, they could sell the stuff in January what they didn't sell in December .... and then we can give it as presents the next Christmas. The candy might be a bit hard but who cares :D

I am fine (except for a cold that tries to sneak up on me I am fighting it)

I can't ride the rides that take you in a circle inside circle! I throw up every time! I didn't used to! When I was a kid I could ride those all day long! No longer! I don't have a problem with roller coasters, though! I can go upside down, up and down, and every which way a coaster takes you...but put me on one that spins you around and around and LOOK OUT BELOW!

those make me sick too. The one I went on was the upside down thing. Back and forth and head upside down. The friend I was with wanted to do a kinda bungee thing in a ball, where you got shot upwards. I declined. Esp. after the other ride. I know I would have threw up. And the Spaghetti Carbonara I had before were just too tasty to lose it again :)

That's why I'm SO happy to be down here in Florida now! We have fall weather all winter long down here!

.... The Genetorturers, (Tampa), are on the move again. They road trip every fall and hit Seattle somewhere close to Halloween each year. Alas I have grown too old to attend such stuff but some of my younger friends will partake in the madness for the first time. If I can I will post a photo of one of these friends in costume just prior to her going out that night. (A likely thread locker I predict).

91. Yes sir.
The Genitorturers are a band headed by the most famous Dominatrix of all time. www.genitorturers.com (Nice pics of Mistress Gen in there)
This band is known more for their stage shows than their music although their music is pretty good too. It is customary for fans to "dress up" for these shows. My female friend might be considered "eye-candy" to some, she will be wearing a naughty cop outfit with spiked heals and fishnet stockings. I will be getting pics of her and her friends prior to the show up here in Seattle. It is my intentions to post a few of those pics. The show is not till the 15th, I should be able to post them just after that. In case that thread DOES get locked I will save a few pics for the morning crowd.
As I am not a member of the morning crowd I am off to bed now. You have a great day sir.

I could keep the feast of Ss. Crispin and Crispinian (25 October) - this is also the anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt (where we utterly thrashed the French).

Or there's the Battle of Hasting (14 October).

apprentices would go round collecting money in boxes which they would break open on the day after Christmas (that being the beginning of their celebration).

A curious aside - no law has been passed in England making Christmas Day (or Good Friday) public holidays - they are merely holidays due to common law and established custom.

85. Americans front-end-load their Christmas. As noted, it is already
starting and, this is the terrible part, by about 3pm on the 25th most people are done with it. That's it, no more until next October. Forget about the twelve days of Christmas.

I like to take a day off of work around the 21st and stay at home and bake Christmas cookies. And yes, listening to lessons and carols is joyful de rigueur.

Tis' the season...

We actually thought about holiday decorating last night, but decided to wait till Nov. 1 to do so. Neither of us have the time right now plus it's still in the 90s.

But it is time for Christmas shopping. I have 30 people to buy for this year, so I began my shopping in mid-August. Not to mention about 130+ Christmas cards to personalize and mail out.

Ahh...gotta love the holidays :hi:

 I think it's time for a morning trip to Starbucks.
