My smoke detector went off last month when I burnt dinner. I smacked the hell out of it and now it's just hanging from the wires.

8. No, but the fire alarm did pre-emptively go off.

Last time, I WAS on DU, so it as hard. But I left then too.

I'm assuming it's an industrial fire alarm, since you were at work. They can be painfully loud.
