1. You've made a healthy change in your lifestyle which |
|
you have now proven, is a permanent change. You deserve a lot of credit for that alone. And, it's great that you finished the race. :)

It's always great to do something with a challenge...
Even if you are only challenging yourself...
I really have a good feeling now....

7. Great! I used to be a runner too. |
|
Ran track and cross country in HS. I got injured though. :( And, it's pretty hard for me to run anymore over long distances. Great job MissMillie!

I've wanted to get back into running again but haven't found the time to. I used to love running. As to the sprint tri-good for you! I used to dream of being a triathlete but my swimming wasn't quite strong enough to get really competitive. I have competed in sprint/nemo tri's quite a few years back. Best bet is to advertise in the personals section of your local paper for a training partner. With a partner you will be more likely to complete the training (and you'll need lots of it. Work on conditioning).
(afterthought: a great way to train for 5K's for free is to contact your local high school cross country coach. Many are only too happy to allow someone to train w/ their students since they don't get very much community support).

Could you have ever imagined doing this? ? ? I'm so thrilled for you! The last think I want to do right now at this point anyway is run a race, let alone run anywhere!
You're awesome MsMillie! Congratulations on this success and all the other successes you've had in the past little while!
