It's been unseasonably warm here in Sheboygan, and we have a lot of these odd beetles hanging around.
They are mostly black, with thin red stripes.
Anyone know what they are?

The problem this year in Seattle, where it was warmer than usual, has been spiders. We always have spiders in the summer, but gad, this year it's awful! I have to do a "spider check" every morning before getting into the shower, for heaven sakes! And I walk outside, and almost always run into a spidey web. Ick!

3. At least you don't have swarms of these babies! |

They are love bugs (or f*ck bugs) as they are mating as they are in the air - swarms of these nasty critters are all over the friggin place here and they sure make a nasty mess on your car's windshield and head lamps. http://cricket.biol.sc.edu/luvbug.html
