RANT: Local drug store had a flu shot clinic this afternoon
For high risk patients only. I got there 15 minutes before it started and it still took me over 2 hours to get through the line.

2. My in-laws waited 3 hours last year
at the local supermarket (they live in a really small town on the Washington coast). The store ended up bringing some chairs out for some of the more frail people in the line so they wouldn't faint.

I seem to remember, though, after the big panic about availability of flu shots that there ended up being a surplus of the vaccine. Anyone else remember that?

9. I do remember that!
The folks who weren't at as much risk were asked to skip getting a flu shot in order to leave enough vaccine for the at-risk folks...

As a result, there were surpluses of the vaccine around the country...

I don't remember where, though........

This year, there should be plenty...

I believe there are three companies making the stuff......

4. It must have been difficult for the disabled and older people to wait ...
in line for such a long time.

5. I have heart valve problems
and I almost fainted a few times.

It really sucked.

The "corporation" did not send enough staff for the demand.

8. I just called our ped office and they dont have any yet
and didn't know when they'd get any. After last year, you would think all the supply issues would get taken care of.
