Tell us about a good local small business...
Vegan Essentials (http://www.veganessentials.com)

They're close but not open on the weekends which is the only days that we could go. Oddly Ryan and Courtney, the owners of the store, have offered to meet us there during the weekend if we want to shop.

If I were to ever have a store I'd hope that I could be as accommodating as they are.

Do you have a small local business that you frequent? Why?

2. They do a great mail order business...
In fact I placed an order with them yesterday that will be delivered today (according to UPS).

And I know a lot of smaller stores that aren't open on the weekends. Just going on our trips while we're on vacation shows us that.

3. When I lived in Washington State, there was this coffee house...
...I loved. Cherry Street Coffee House at 1st and Cherry in Pioneer Square. By far, bar none, the best coffee in Seattle.

5. Nick's Grocery, Port Arthur, TX
Best boudain in the world. His crawfish boudain is THE BEST. I don't live in Port Arthur anymore, but I go back frequently, and I always bring home 20 lbs of Nick's boudain.

It's a small, old mom-n-pop grocery kind of in a residential area in Port Arthur. And, even after Rita, it still stands. Undamaged.

Fenris and FlamingYouth have been there and eaten the boudain. They know what I'm talkin' bout. :D
