Blondie is Dead
Penny Singleton who played Blondie in the movie series based on the Chic Young comic strip passed away today. She was also the voice of Jane Jetson on the animated TV show The Jetsons.

By the way, Deborah Harry is very much alive.

2. I heard that on the car radio today
I managed to catch some of those old movies when there wasn't anything on after I got home when I was working nights. I didn't realize until today that she was also the voice of Jane Jetson. The thing that astounded me was that she was 95!!!:o

8. Yes, I can imagine very well. I know exactly how you are feeling,
a relief at finally being with him and the feeling that nothing can possibly go wrong as long as you are there. At least, that's how I felt. I am so very glad that you are with him, at last. I am sure that he is grateful to be out of the hospital and that the time spent with you is doing him a world of good!:hi:

9. Blondie was Jane?
Sounds like an Aerosmith song. But is it true?

6. I didn't even know Penny Singleton was still alive
until a few weeks ago when I did a search on another actor. We used to watch the old Blondie movies on AMC once in a while just to take a break from the news shows on Sunday morning. They were kind of period pieces from another time but they were not bad to watch. In a way the Jetsons were to Blondie what the Flintstones were to the Honeymooners.

11. one of my childhood crushes
when I was a kid one of the cable stations started playing those Blondie shorts (It was a Boston station, I think; WRCK were the call letters, I think), and from the first moment she called out to Dagwood out the front door, I was hooked as a lad. Sad to see her go.

14. I always post Blondie Movies as being one of my favorites
I loved Blondie, Dagwood, Baby Dumpling, Daisy and her pups and I forgot the little girls name.

I lost my Ramona today and the world lost a good actress.
