A rant against people who don't have kids in grocery stores!!!

So, yesterday I took my sextuplets to Walmart to buy some Pringles, some beer, and a Girls Gone Wild Video. I don't watch them myself, but I want to teach the girls how to dress when they turn thirteen.

Well, the girls were in one of those moods, the way girls are sometimes. Talk about girls gone wild! They wanted to play. They were running through the store, tipping over makeup displays and eating those donuts the store leaves in those little taped boxes near the front of the store. Those kids aren't thin, and it's hard to maintain that weight without those "free" samples, you know what I mean?

Anyway, this skinny little tart of a woman glared at me! She glared!!! I mean, this woman must have been, like, maybe 160 lbs, and about five foot nothing. Who can be that skinny if they aren't on crack, I ask you? She was all dolled up in her Rosanne Barr designer dress, with that hot red lipstick making her lips all puffy and wide. She was pretty hot! But I didn't make the moves on her because she glared like I had just mowed over her cat or something. On of my kids had thrown some pudding at her, and a little bitty bit of it got on her. Just like, maybe, a cup or two! I think it was pudding.

But anyway, I had had enough. Damned arrogant skinny little babe, probably voted for Kerry, who never tried to raise a kid in her life, and there she is glaring at me and my six daughters for having a little fun! I had E.N.O.U.G.H.!!! So I yanked my Hulk Hogan shirt down as much as I could over my belly, hitched up my britches, and stormed over to her.

"You got a problem, Commie!" I screamed at her, loud enough for half the store to hear. Everybody got quiet. I could see some kid in a Walmart apron looking at us, like he wanted to come over and say something, but he just hung back. He knew better than to risk his career over this. Ain't nothing as bad as a mad NASCAR dad!

That woman ain't never seen that much man that close to her, I tell you! She started quaking in her boots, she was so turned on! Her face got almost as red as her top of the line K-mart lipstick. She just shook her head and backed away and started crying.

I showed her!

After that, I had to hit three of the girls because they got peanut butter on my blue jeans. I haven't washed them in six months, and I sure didn't want to have to tonight. You can't really see it much, though, so I probably can wait a little longer. They're my only pair, so I have to run around in my undies when I wash them. It's even worse when I wash my undies.

Anyway, Walmart just ain't what it used to be. And whatever happened to manners, and responsibility? It's all that money the government gives to all them black people in New Orleans, that's why no one has any manners, anymore. Damn commies.

So I paid for my beer and crate of Pringles, and bought a bottle of vitamins, and my food stamps were gone. I don't know what I'll eat tomorrow. If the government doesn't get me my disability check soon, I might have to get a job. And I'm sick of Walmart's attitude. All upscale and everything. If they didn't have all those free samples my kids keep digging up, it wouldn't even be worth the trip.

So don't go to Walmart unless you have kids, because you're just annoying. But if anyone sees that woman, get her number, cause that lipstick was hot. I had to come back here to Free Republic to tell everyone about that damn commie, just in case someone knows her.

5. Really?
I thought the Jimmy Buffet thread preceded the kids thread? Hard to remember. They were around the same time.

2. Aren't grocery stores a bit unsanitary for childbirth?
Aren't hospitals better? Or home births for those who prefer?

7. I just steal guns when I need them.
And I don't like Toby Keith. He's a Democrat, you know, he just supported Bush on a couple of issues. Ah course, Willie's a Democrat, but since he's the greatest man who ever lived, you have to forgive him.

My ex almost father in law loaned me his gun once, and I just held on to it. I tell him a looter stole it any time he says he wants it back. I can't go hunting with him, but after the way I ditched his daughter and stole her lawn mower, it wouldn't be a good idea, anyway. Know what I mean?

19. Oh yes, Golden Corral
I went to that place with a friend for lunch and stuffed myself until I hurt. I left there asking "why do I do this to myself?". Then when another friend asked if I wanted to go there for dinner did I say no? Of course not...:dunce:.

It more like a thumbing of your nose at the lower classes. It's actually kind of insulting, on several levels.

Well whatever gets you through the day i reckon.

34. Actually, no, nothing wrong with what you said.
I was worried it could come across that way. I tried to avoid it, and since yours was the only such comment (well, one other seemed a little cautious about it, too) I figured I did okay. But I was concerned that it could come across the way you read it first. I even edited it before posting to take out stereotypes and dialect.

23. some of us go to Wal-Mart because we have to
Granted, I don't have kids yet, but every time I've taken one while babysitting, and every time I do take mine once I have one, they'll definitely NOT act like that. My kids (babysitting charges) have always known better. My kid will not even know *how* to act like that.
And I too think it's ridiculous to let children behave that way no matter where they are and especially in a grocery store.
But keep in mind that there are people who hate everything about Wal-Mart but have no other place to shop. The only options here are Dillons, Food 4 Less, or Wally world, and on our budget, Dillons and F-4-L don't count.
Not all of us Wal-Mart shoppers are leeches on society. A lot, but not all!

(Great recap BTW, you made me laugh!!)

29. Ahem
(stepping out of character)

I'm one of the biggest defenders of Walmart on DU. Half my family has worked for them. I wrote this after writing a long piece defending them, in fact. Mocking Walmart, or poor people (as someone accused me of above), was not my intention.

sorry, I just, well, I get a lot of crap from people about going there. I loved your 'story' I just get defensive when people make out that only losers go there.
Not that you did, I didn't really get that tone out of you, I just mean peoples' reactions in general.

28. I borrowed my wife's boyfriend's RV
It's small, so I can still fit it in them handicap spots. I use my dad's handicap mirror hanger when I go, so I don't have to walk so far. The RV takes up two spots, but no one seems to care much. And I play canasta with a guy from the police department so he fixes my tickets.
