my edit on your edit: okay then, it doesn't look like an engagement ring to me. I always think of engagement rings as having solitary stones; typically diamonds.

As a guy, I will say that I always think of rings on a woman's left ring finger as meaning she is engaged/married - regardless of what the ring looks like. (So if you want someone to think you're available, oyu might want to not wear the ring on that finger. Even lesbiams might think it means you're straight and married.)

I think the one on your ring finger could be thought of as an engagement ring--as could any jewel (e.g., mine is a sapphire) on your left ring finger--so if you want to meet somebody you'd probably want to put it on your right hand.

And if you don't want to be hit on, leave it where it is. (Although that won't necessarily stop everyone.)

is made of silver, a band of moon's and star's, no diamonds. Our wedding bands are celtic knots, around the band, and are spinners. Totally out if the realm of tradition. That is how we are!!!
