I had a big salad with a cold beer for dinner - what did you have
:D

Been spending too much time in GD and my pro-Southwest antics probably pushed one DUer to quit.

How about some cheering up

My big salad consists of tons of Romaine Lettuce, shredded carrots, a few Garlic-Cheese Croutons, one grilled chicken thigh sliced (I grill myself) and a delicious creamy asiago peppercorn dressing (lite on the dressing because it's not fat free).

The beer is Dogfish Shelter Pale Ale. Made fresh in Rehobeth Deleware!

1. I guess I won't be getting you that T-shirt for Christmas after all
I do hope they have a generous return policy... how about a bottle of the asiago peppercorn instead? :-)

But my house mate Cherie has been talking about wanting codeine cough medicine for days. Is that available over the counter?

13. First, I browned some pancetta. Then I sauteed some onion and garlic.
Then I tossed in some mustard greens. Next, I added some chicken stock, clamped the cover on the pan and cooked the greens for 10 minutes or so. Then I crumbled the pancetta over the top...and ate the whole thing.

Not bad, but I probably should have added some nutmeg and used spinach.

16. I lucked out
Fried calamari, steamed crab claws, stuffed mushrooms, baked potato, a quite decent white wine, ice tea, and generous lashings of very expensive vodka.

Dessert will be chocolate ice cream and a rather nice cognac.

With the exception of the naan, all made at home. All hail the great cookbook writer Madhur Jaffrey.

23. Well, since I had about 45 min to let my dogs out and eat before returning
to work,

I started out with a few microwave chicken taquitos. Okay but not enough since I didn't eat lunch.

So I steamed some pork shumai dumplings and ate them with a mixture of soy and chili sauce and a little vinegar. Now I'm off to work.

You are entitled to your opinion. I have no plans to fly anywhere right now, but I would not rule out Southwest either. They may be a red company (and I bet that all airlines are), but they were operating within their rights.

I would not want the triplets exposed to that T-shirt either. They are starting to be able to pick out words and ask tons of questions.

34. Big salad and white wine spritzer. Veggies grown in the back yard!
Mmmmmm good. Just downed a mega-glass of milk. Cannot get enough calicum the past couple of days.

Caught that Southwest tread. Agree with you, if that helps any.

Wish I could give you some of my salad greens. Got cold so I had to bring in ALL the lettuces (5 kinds). Think I'll toss some more seed out in hopes of Indian Summer. The lettuces like cool weather. I miss them during the heat of high summer, but always replant a bunch as it is letting up.

Now, if I could just figure out how to grow Ranch Dressing

I don't do it very often so it wasn't all that self-destructive.
