I can give you 25 reasons why I'm so freaking happy right now!!!

25lbs LOST

I'm sitting here in front of my computer listening to "The Very Best of Jethro Tull" and wearing a pair of jeans I haven't worn in over a year. And they aren't tight, they slipped right on and they fit so great that I'm actually still wearing them now sitting on my bed cross-legged.

Damn, I feel great!!!!

4. I quit drinking beer
I'm not touching that crappy low-carb beer - sorry, I didn't lose my sense of taste. Usually I'll drink a Martini and be happy, but if I can't have a dark, rich hoppy beer then I'd rather go without.

Damn these jeans feel good - wearing them with the best kind of shirt - a Hanes Men's White Tee-Shirt!!!

10. I did the same thing (re: old jeans)
I have some old 501s that I wore in HIGH SCHOOL!! I'm glad they fit (somewhat - I've backslid a little :-( ) It was great expanding my wardrobe by 50% without spending an additional dime! :D

Lose weight but do those muscles and exercise, better overweight and fit than right weight (or rightwing) and unfit.
Walk! Walk! Walk!

9. I actually have more jeans available
that are even smaller in size. I still have about 40lbs to go, but this is just such a great feeling to start off with. It's like I don't miss those crappy carbs anymore

WOOHOO!!!!

8. Good for you!
I'm feeling kind of bloated and guilty because I just ate a small pizza. I'm doing low carb and have just sort of fallen off the wagon this week. Bleah. But I will let you be an inspiration to me.

Reminds me of the theory, that there's X amount of fat in the world, and it just shifts itself around from person to person.

15. Isn't it great?
I lost over 40 (which I put on with my last baby) and have about 20 to go before I'm where I want to be. I just bought some size 12's which for me is a huge improvement (hoping for those 8's eventually). I'm shrinking faster than my wardrobe (and wallet) can keep up.

Atkins is the only thing ever that simply eliminated my sugar addiction and I feel free of the whole food thing because I just don't think about it. Even now, I occasionally let myself cheat, it doesn't do it for me anymore. I can appreciate the taste, but it isn't like a "fix" now like it used to be.

16. Atkin's Rule
I am a carbohydrate addict. I would crave carbs like a junkie craves herion, like a Bush craves oil. I was an addict without remorse who could easily eat a big bowl of pasta, a bag of dinner rolls or several candy bars and still eat more.

It's the only way to go and it's the only thing that works for me.

17. Very cool!
I knocked 23 pounds off in the past2 months...and all I did was give up Pepsi.

I sit at my computers for up to 8 hours a day (I work at one of them), and would go through a lot of the stuff. Gave it up a couple months ago, and the weight is dropping off.

Good for you, Lynne!

24. Way to Go, Lynne! From one Carb Addict to Another!
:toast:

Atkins worked for me too-I lost 32 lbs (another 10-15 to go). I do cheat occasionally-ice cream is my weakness-but I find that because it's so high fat, I don't gain weight when I cheat with Ben & Jerry!
