Is this a liitle presumptuous? (mind you, I'm not mad, but it just seems that she could have asked....)

The woman who works in the cube next to me had to run an errand for her boss, but she's also expecting his wife to come in and drop some stuff off. Before she left she said, "If you see Ashish's wife, could you give her my cell #, or just let her know I'll be back in a few minutes, or maybe even she could leave the stuff w/ you."

Not at all a big deal, but I wanted to run one of my own errands.

She should have started with "You going to be around for a few minutes?".... right?

But maybe you are expecting to much....

Like that your co-workers even care what you are doing....

"i'm needing to step out of the office myself and may not be here when the wife comes along...perhaps someone else can help you out today"

sometimes it takes guts to ward off a gutsy person.

it is hard to learn to stand up for oneself. i had to learn it for myself
