Does anyone have one of those coffee makers that use little pods
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 10:37 AM by gollygee
the ones that make just a cup at a time with a pod? Are those any good.

I like coffee but I don't seem to be able to make decent coffee myself. I thought that might help.

1. Don't know about pods, but you might want to consider a Toddy Maker
You cold process the beans by soaking them in cold water overnight and straining then keep the concentrate in the fridge ...then you can heat up single cups whenever you wish.

I used to use one and the coffee was quite good.

3. we do- my son uses it to get himself
going to work at 5 am. before he can get a coffee anywhere on the way to work, and it's quick and good- Making anything more is really a waste- and he just doesn't do instant.-
At 22, and living a full life, mornings often require coffee- he's pleased with it, but the pods seem abit.... pricey.

When I was able to drink coffee I used one of those little 'one-cup' pour through filters- similar to gevalia style, but that sits on a mug, and lets you brew just one cup- a bit more time consuming, and messy- starting with really good water helps alot- we have a dug well that has heavy sulfur levels, even though boiling it pretty much clears that up its worth getting some 'good' water.

I know what you mean though, there is a difference between a cuppa coffee, and a REALLY GOOD cup of coffee.-

4. I have one.
It's really nice. Takes no time at all to make a cup and is SO easy to clean up.

:hi:

7. I have one and
I really like it. It's good if you only want one cup, but it is a little more expensive. I have Melitta brand and the coffee is good.

6. I've got one
It's just me and I got tired of pouring out 1/2 a pot every day. I set it up the night before and in the morning just hit the button as I gather up stuff for work. The prices have come way down and you can find them on clearance at Target. My only worry is that they'll stop making the pods if the machines stop selling...
