Today I went into the doughnut shop and ordered my usual bland plain cake with choco milk. When I got to work I saw that he slipped in two doughnut holes!
About 5 months ago I had to get my shoes fixed so I went in to pick them up and the man said they weren't due to me until Friday, but he went ahead and fixed them up there and then.
Nice merchants that do that should be recognized and given a people award of some sort.

1. Write a letter to the manager... |
|
telling them what wonderful customer service you received from that person, and the manager will likely acknowledge that person in some way. Don't mention the doughnut holes, though, since he could get in trouble for that.

A few years ago I was driving to work in Santa Monica, CA and in front of me was a Frito Lay truck. There was a homeless guy on the side of the street and the driver threw him a bag of chips. It rather made my day.
