Insatiable for corporate greed (America the Beautiful)
and cronyism rule
our country now is so FUBAR
our president's a fool. ( or should I make that tool?)

America America
the thugs are in control
they'll shove their doctrines down your throat
and steal away your soul.

Emboldened by his power base
and jingoistic war
our vice prez richard cheney
is a Halliburton whore.

That's it so far, I am going to add more verses, just wanted to share what I have so far.

P.S. This is what happens when you spend too much time in your car. A car passed me with an America the Beautiful bumper sticker and the rest is history. :-)

1. What? No encouragement for a budding song parodier?
My heart is broken!

You'll be sorry! I'm working on a Donald Rumsfeld tribute to the tune of the Macarena- You'll NEVER get it out of your head! And "Who let Karl ROve Out? Woof Woof!" Don't mess with the redwitch. :smoke:

3. Great work.
Just be careful of rythmics in the lyrics, it's a teeny bit awkward in some places(Sorry I'm a musician and a rythm nazi)

Otherwise it's excellent.

5. Hey bassic, my son's a bass player too!
freshman at Berklee this year. He's really happy there. And he's way better at bass than I am at songwriting!

7. I never really "got" the importance of a good bassline until
he took it up. Now I am very tuned into it. And I love to watch him play!

8. Can't go without bass
:)

Does he play in a band? That's like one of the best experience I've ever had. I don't think I'll ever want to stop or at least not for a long while.

9. Was in a band at home for almost 3 years
They broke up when he left for college- he was the glue that held them together, I guess. He just joined a band at school whose name escapes me at the moment. And he has done lots of jazz ensemble work.
