I owe Wesley Snipes an apology; I called him a heartless deadbeat dad
The Kid Is Not Snipes' Son

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - It's vindication for Wesley Snipes. Apparently, the "Blade" actor isn't guilty of whipping out his, err, blade when it comes to a woman who claims he's her baby daddy.

Judge Mary Bednar dismissed a paternity lawsuit on Thursday, Oct. 6 after a DNA test determined that another man had provided the chromosomes to father a tyke with Lanise Pettis, according to published reports. Snipes had refused to submit to the paternity test, and was exonerated when another man stepped forward to be tested and was found to be the child's father.

The Indiana woman -- who Snipes says is a "mentally ill former crack addict" -- had filed a 2002 paternity suit in New York alleging that he fathered a son with her in a Chicago crackhouse. The child is now three years old. Snipes said that the "obviously delusional" woman had a history of making outrageous claims involving celebrities such as President Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and Prince.

Snipes, 43, has starred in "White Men Can't Jump," "Passenger 57," "Demolition Man" and the "Blade" film trilogy.
