Presenting "The SeattleGirl 5-Minute Comedy Sketch" |
|
Okay, so the dog needs to go outside. I go out the door and step on a slug! Oh man......
I go out to the grass and try to get the slime off the bottom of my brand new shoes, which have a lot of texture, so of course the slime is stuck in all the little crevices.
The dog wants to play, and starts barking at me. Sorry, honey, I've been slimed and I can't think about playing.
I go over to where the hose is and try to wash the slime off my shoe bottom, but it is STUCK in there, so I think, well I'll need to go back into the house and use a brush to scrub it out.
I turn around to get the dog (who is still barking at me) and walk right into a spider web and end up with a big spider in my hair! So I'm whapping at my hair, trying to get the sucker out, the dog is still barking, and then I trip on a small bush that's planted at the edge of the yard and nearly go sprawling. (The dog is still barking.)
I burst into hysterical laughter, and then notice the neighbors two houses down are out on their deck and have seen the whole damn thing.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled lounge programming.

If that happened to me, I would've stepped in a big pile o' dog crap instead of a slug. Oh, and I would've managed to lose my pants somewhere in there.
Don't ask.

Only right about the time that the spider got in my hair I'd be in terrified hysterics--I have a spider phobia. :scared:

11. I don't much care for them myself |
|
but I'm not quite at the phobic stage. Now my daughter would probably have run screaming down the street -- she is REALLY phobic about spiders. But she probably would have cracked up to see her mother today!

My most embarrassing moment ever was years ago at work. I worked in cubicleville at the time, and I had just pushed my chair back a little to get something from my printer. I went to go sit back down, and only caught the edge of my chair. Chair goes flying, I go thud, just as my boss is walking by my cube. He says (in his NOT inside voice), "{my name}, are you okay?" The entire department heard him. I was totally mortified.
