Damn it's cold in the Deep South.
It's 68 degrees where I live in south Mississippi. I bet it gets down into the 50s tonight.

Better get my electric blanket out.

Honey, it gets down to the 40s, and I bring out the long johns.
We ain't used to this cold stuff down here. :D

Usually, it's still in the eighties and nineties this time of year.

2. It was forty-freaking-eight degrees here this morning.
I still wore a t-shirt and shorts into the gym. :P

When I went out later, it was in the 50s, but I put a sweatshirt on over my t-shirt and shorts. :D

From there, right into the house.

But, I do keep emergency cans of chicken noodle soup on standby. :D

3. That's cold for you???
We're in a freeze advisory tonight here in MN!

I won't be suprised if it made it to the mid-20's for a low tonight!

Very cold for here at this time of year. Wind's whippin' around, and the lights are on, if you know what I mean. ;-)

BTW, it's nice to meet another X-Files fan! I think they're in pre-production of the next film...

Which, given recent weather trends, should be sometime in February.

Brrrrrrrrrr! Shivering so hard I can hardly talk! It's cold AND wet here.

I don't have any idea what the temperature is - probably upper 50's, maybe 60 at most here. Yes, yes, I know anyone north of central Alabama and central Mississippi will think we are nuts for this thread if they check our weather, but I hear you, sista!

Where are my GRITS tonight? Let's huddle together to keep warm!

19. I am so glad that we don't have any rain.
I wouldn't leave the house if it were raining.

This GRIT is headed to the firehouse to get the place ready for the pancake breakfast tomorrow morn. The Rotary Club uses the firehouse...and they always leave a freakin mess.

So, today I clean, and tomorrow I clean. :D

18. I can't believe how quickly I became such a wuss about the cold
After I moved to Tennessee. I think it only took a year or two. I took a trip to Chicago a couple of years ago for Christmas and bundled up and froze my little butt off. And I'm from Michigan! I don't know if I can ever move back North.

Snow, sleet, hail...it's time to close the highways and put everyone under curfew. :D

26. Yep
Same here. I actually don't mind that because I've always hated driving in ice. And you get ice here a lot more often than snow. No one knows how to drive in inclement weather around here, and I think they have something like two plows and salt trucks for the entire city, so shutting everything down is fine by me :)

21. It's been in the high seventies maybe eighties here in Maine this week
What is going on with the weather? We just barely get a dusting of snow by Christmas with the most snow in March now. Peak foliage used to be the third weekend in September, still haven't seen it yet.
