DSW Shoe stores - are they the mecca of shoe shoppers of the world?? |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 06:27 PM by LynneSin
I just spent way too much money shoe shopping but I got a slew of shoes today!! I finally found a great pair of everyday brown loafers that don't make my feet look 'manly' (when your feet are size 11 most loafers look like Men's shoes - these are mary jane pump loafers). Plus I found a pair of Charles David shoes that normally go for $160 - got them for $20 - not kidding you. And I got a great pair of Kenneth Cole Reaction black 'sneaker' loafers.
These stores have a ton of great name shoe brands you can get for dirt cheap. I would have gotten the pair of Coach Sandals even though I couldn't wear them til next summer - but for $39 I should have taken them!!
Anyone else love DSW?
Edit note: I almost bought a pair of those Ugg boots - those things are fricking comfortable as hell even though they are fugly too!

Too few to hang all over you, but there always seems to be someone when I have a question.

9. 190 stores in 32 states |
|
http://www.dswshoe.com/store_locations.jspIt's kinda like a TJMaxx or Marshells but just with shoes. They get plenty of top brand names like Kenneth Cole, Coach, Stuart Weitzmen, Charles David, Lauren, etc along with plenty of the mid-priced brand names.

7. I like DSW, but there isn't one around here. |
|
I can only shop there during my annual pilgrimage to Minnesota.
I tried on a pair of Uggs the other day. They were SO comfortable, but yes, fugly. I declined to buy them.

I spend so much money there, it's shameful. But, it's also really close to our place in Northern Virginia - actually, we have 3 of them within 15 minutes in different directions. How's that for proof that God loves me?
I just bought some Frye boots, dark brown, very plain, really cool. And then I found a pair of black motorcycle boots, also by Frye, which were irresistible.
This was with the 15% off certificate I got. It's like stealing.
Place is the greatest therapy, in so many ways. I've never gone into a DSW where I didn't end up in a group of women, all strangers, all trying on shoes together, chattering and laughing. It's really nice.
