Tomorrow (Sunday) we were invited to an event at a local business to have a bake sale to benefit the Northwoods Humane Society.

Last night we baked 40 Chocolate/Peanut Butter Muffins and tonight we're going to make some peanut butter cookies. My mom is baking Pumpkin muffins and Zucchini bread and a friend at work is baking cupcakes.

We also made dog biscuits (Flour, Water, Oil, Peanut Butter, and Oatmeal) that we're going to sell 5 for 50 or 75 cents.

Anyway, wish us luck that we sell all kinds of stuff and make tons of money for the homeless puppies and kitties.

However, the Northwoods Humane Society isn't local to us. It is, in fact, about 5 hours away. We found them a few years ago while we were on vacation. They often ask us why them and not our local Humane Society. Silly folks.

took in my third cat last week.... he is lost or dumped .... we are looking for an owner but he was just skin and bones not prepared for life in the wild, been out a while .... other cats seem to be adjusting well to a new comer
